Designed and manufactured by Pyser Optics, the GEMINI Thermal Monocular is a compact, lightweight and high performance monocular product.

​

GEMINI  features a robust aluminium main body with a rear centre of mass that minimises neck strain during prolonged operations, with two AA batteries enabling up to 7 hours continuous operation. High quality infra-red optics and innovative technology provide maximum image quality and resolution, the entire monocular product is purged and filled with dry nitrogen for ultimate reliability in all global operating theatres.

When head or helmet mounted the image is 1:1 ratio to actual size, therefore considerably enhancing judgements of both distance and safety of manoeuvre. Larger lenses options enable Search & Rescue capability with a 1.5X or 2X optical magnification, plus 2X and 4X digital zoom functions are incorporated as standard.

Options include anti-mist filters and adaptors for attaching instantly to camcorders, DSLR cameras and CCTV cameras for total darkness and covert surveillance. The monocular can also be powered from a 12 volt vehicle socket (with optional Pyser adaptor) and live PAL video can be put into any compatible recording device.
